Mechanical Engineer 

PEM is seeking mechanical engineers for design & development of electromechanical actuators/products for a variety of fields including industrial, medical, and commercial applications. To be a successful member of our team you will utilize your skills and experience and have a desire to do more than sit at a computer each day. You must be a doer and a builder.

 

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • This position is fully accountable for designing and developing new products, redesigning existing products, interfacing with customers (internal and external), overseeing the prototype delivery and testing of products that meet the schedule, costs, and performance specification of customers.
  • Full responsibility of all engineering documentation, specifications, engineering quality and required data for the assigned projects and/or customer accounts
  • Work closely, and in partnership, with management team to ensure that all customer needs are anticipated and met.
  • Document design and technical data using accepted engineering documentation practices (drawings, BOM, test reports, design reviews, etc.)
  • Responsible for assembly, testing and characterization of prototypes, transitioning new products to manufacturing, and creating supporting documentation.

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5yrs design experience with gears, plastics, die-castings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge in rotating assemblies, power transmissions, gearing, bearings, fits, finishes, material selection and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • 2+ years 3D modeling experience using Solidworks including the ability to create and work within large assemblies.
  • Ability to produce product assembly drawings in Solidworks and/or Composer
  • Experience creating detailed part drawings
  • Ability to develop engineering bills of materials
  • Must be able to complete already started large part count designs with the ability to recognize necessary changes

Position Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Utilize hand held, electric and pneumatic tools
  • Complete electro-mechanical  assemblies and sub-assemblies, gear motor assemblies, cable and wire harness assemblies
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of product in work stations
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified or report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Performing soldering, which is the process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal (solder) into the joint
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Inspect and then pack and crate parts for shipping.
  • Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

  • The PEM Production Lead is accountable for all aspects of the production area. This includes training, production, employee issues, shipping and receiving, inventory, work flow, etc.
  • Have a good overall view of all processes/areas and understand each process.
  • Be able to spot staff inefficiencies or those not following procedures and provide training and coaching
  • Be able to sit down with production employees and discuss/document employee issues, work quality, training, etc.  Work with Supervisor to provide corrective action plan and/or schedule
  • Responsible for big picture planning with Management. Must be able to implement plan to help achieve company goals
  • Be proactive in addressing and planning training & production needs.
  • Responsible to spot check work & make sure staff is following procedures.  Address training & production issues found.
  • Hold production employees and yourself accountable for time in production area and what is being done and being able to complete Production Schedule as assigned.

PEM is seeking Administrative Assistant to add to office staff.   To be a successful member of our team, you are dependable in coming to work each day, have a good attitude, have a strong attention to detail, take pride in their work, be motivated and willing to go the extra step.  The Office Administrator performs administrative and office support activities for company to make sure the customer and internal needs of the organization are met. Duties include fielding telephone calls, assisting visitors, sales order shipping and invoicing, assisting with purchasing and other duties.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Main person responsible for phones, front desk, faxes, e-mails, meeting minutes
  • Assist in entering and tracking Sales Orders,

PEM is seeking Sales Representative.  Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close. Develops and implements agreed upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the target areas. Works within the PEM team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

 

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the sales of electro-mechanical products (linear and rotary actuators).
  • Develops annual business plan in conjunction with President, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Representative on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations that identify prospects requests and/or opportunities and provides options and opportunities to gain their business.  
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities, including the use of Microsoft Office
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.
  • Responsible for building an experienced, qualified sales team for continued presence and growth within targeted market areas, based upon specific goals and objectives of business plan.

 

Position Requirements:
